Viewing topic: Newest topic listed on "forum" page.

How bout putting the latest topic posted (last comment probably changes too much) on the forum front page. That way you can check if there is a new topic in each of the forums. I drop by regularly and find myself having to click on different forums to see if there is a new topic inside. Just a suggestion

Sounds like a good idea The newest topic already comes up on the community home page, and there is a list of the five newest topics on the main index page - what do you think about putting the same list on the forum page under the forums?

I've been trying to think of a way to make it easier to check for new posts/topics for a while

I know it would take more work but I think it would be a better idea to put the newest topic as a hyperlink underneath the description of each chatroom. So that the name of the forum, the description and latest thread are all together, that way it would hold together more... (sorry, my brain has died trying to learn italian)

I'll give it a try Though I think it might lead to the main forum page getting really big - will try to find a way round it.

The main 'problem' is that I never expected so many people to use the forum! I wrote it specially to be as simple as possible 'cause the old one wasn't getting used.

I've only just added an archive page so that only the 20 newest topics in each forum need to be displayed at once. I didn't think I'd have to do that until sometime next year Will eventually need to break them up into pages. Yikes! Time to dig out the programming books again...
