Anyone from the UK here extracting beetroots from bank machines? (I know at least one )

I need to transfer some dosh (currently in beetroots) back to the UK - an easier way would be to sell it for GBPs

Anyone game? I sell them at central bank rate - you BACS me GBPs (if you have telephone banking, of course) and I give you beetroots. No transfer charges for me, no bank machine charges for you

After the 24th I will want to sell/transfer about 30k beets (approximately 650 GBPs) and probably about the same every two months.

I am not too keen on entrusting my vegetables to the Russian banking system...

PS - this only makes sense if you have a UK bank account, otherwise there are all sorts of weird transfer charges.

FWIW, I transferred the funds from the sale of my apartment via a Russian bank, and while I wasn't too happy with their fee structure, the transfer completed without any delay or problems.

31 days and I'm outta here.

I think it might be easier to buy GBPs and carry them home when I go.
