Is there any way to add a feature that allows us to quickly see when the last post was made in the forums, rather than having to open every topic and look? Perhaps just a colour by the title of the forum that lets us know that there is something unread there. ___________________________________________________ Well ...it's not my fault that my dog is pissing on your leg! |

Unfortunately only Sky and Alex can testify to the amount of work I have on at the moment (and even they haven't seen the backlog of translations, all marked 'urgent', not to mention orders for new sites) which is why the forum, and the site as a whole, isn't getting the attention it ought to. I'll turn this post into a topic later, for the time being I only want to bring it to the attention of a select few folk and I don't want to knock other people's topics off the top spot. The plan is this - since I haven't been teaching for about six months or more, and don't plan to go back to it in the foreseeable future, I'm looking at handing VisaRus over to some new blood. To keep it going at full steam it needs a team of several people working on it. I've been offered large sums of money to sell the domain and the site, but it would be irresponsible now to let it out of my hands. There are a lot of opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to make some money from VisaRus (but I don't have the time), all in different areas of the site - from advertising and membership through to providing services to teachers (visa invitations, consultation, job searches, etc.) Some things would only be suitable for people physically based in Russia, some things could be run from anywhere in the world. All I'm really interested in is that in the course of any 'commercial' activity, the site must remain an authoritative source of unbiased information on teaching in Russia. Anyone interested in getting involved, PM me. |
